Portraiture..

A portrait or portraiture photigraphy is the 'capture' of a person or a small group of people. In portraiture photography the most important part of the picture is the face/ faces of the person/people in the picture. This is because facial features are the first thing you notice about a person in a picture e.g. a persons eyes can tell a lot about someone and always stand out in a photograph.

Thursday 19th january 2012

On Tuesday we went down to the photography studio and we took some portraiture pictures of each other.
We used a honey comb shaped dish over one of the lights to create a plain black background.  I enjoy taking portraiture pictures of other people because you can use other still life objects to create something different from the picture.

Today i have decide that next tuesday i am going to book the photography studio for friday the 20th to take some portraiture pictures. I have also decided that i am going to bring my boyfriend along with me and he will be the one that i am going to be taking pictures of.

I might bring along some objects that relate to him with me to add to the set and make the picture look more interesting.

Tuesday 3rd January 2012..

Today we went down to the photography studio to shoot some pictures of still life objects of our choice.

We also used a different kind of tripod today, It is called a Cambo camera stand. This acts in a similar way to the tripod by holding the camera and keeping it sturdy whilst being able to move it around at the same time when needed.
